-
Gain tools and techniques to help identify and address wilful blindness.
Wilful blindness is present in each of us, in the teams and groups we work in and the organisations we work with and for. It is a naturally occurring phenomenon that can manifest in many different ways. We use wilful blindness in our everyday lives as a means of protecting our sense of self and we apply it in work situations as a means to explain and rationalise events that occur around us which may not sit comfortably with us or feel aligned with our instincts. The unchecked unchallenged presence of wilful blindness in teams and departments creates unsafe services at the operational level and leads to uninformed and often dysfunctional decision making at board level.
