Building and maintaining patient safe cultures:
This course is available in mixed formats and is aimed at those with a personal or professional interest in patient safety, patient safety experts, patient safety partners working with NHS Trusts, heads of governance and transformation/OD leads. It is also suitable for executive and non-executive directors working in health and care, senior and trainee managers and service team leads.
Participants on this course will:

Begin to develop the vision of what a patient safe culture might look like,

Understand how to use MaPSaF and acquire tools to supplement it.
The creation of a truly patient safe culture is a journey towards continuous improvement with no end point and embarking on the journey towards it should not be undertaken lightly. This course explores the benefits and limitations of the Manchester Patient Safety Framework (MaPSaF) and combines its attributes with traditional methods of assessing the quality of services using widely accepted private sector methodologies and metrics from the field of services marketing.
